The 240, 300, 302, 351w, and 351c all share the same tranny bolt pattern. 351m/ 400 share the 429/460 bolt pattern. And the FE blocks have their own bolt pattern. Older transmissions could just swap the bellhousing. Newer transmissions have the bellhousing as part of the casting.

Thank you guys for clearing that up, this forum is great and has helped me in many ways already. Replaced the shifter collar few weeks ago and I ordered the bushings for the “Z bar” as they’re worn out.
