I had a message on the information screen that an update would be performed at 01:00 hours, sometime during the week of December 25th. Does anyone know what is involved? Perhaps it will correct the intermittent big screen operation?

Check the Fordpass App. It should give you a description of updates. If you don't have the app, get it it's free.

Based on other forums, 6.4.0, 6.5.0, and 6.8.0 have been rolling out depending on where an individual truck is at in the cycle. You'll find out what it is after it has successfully installed. As far as what each update does, Ford doesn't tell us so it is by guess and by golly that we occasionally discover what actually happened that improved or degraded the truck.

Thanks, Ford Pass says, "Minor adjustments to help you enjoy the journey ahead". I would enjoy the journey if my information screen were to operate correctly. Oh well.

The infotainment system aka "your screen" is one of the main components targeted for updates.

Well,,,,,,,,, 6.05 did not help the intermittent screen problem. Sometimes it fails to come on with the initial start of the day and other times it fails at random during startups during the day. It has never failed to come on, usually within a mile or so but the startup failure to show the backup camera is frustrating,,,,,and dangerous.

So I am curious whether you have checked your fuse compartments since you received the truck to insure all the fuses and relays are fully seated. When I received my truck, 3/4ths of them were not fully set into their sockets. There is one under the hood and one in the cab and I had unseated fuses in both. An unseatede fuse/relay could be a source for intermittent electrical issues.

I checked the fuses on the curbside under the hood and found them not fully seated, just as you reported. It has been several days with the screen working ok. Perhaps that was the problem. Where in the cab will I find the other fuse block? I ask this as an old guy who used to know every component on every vehicle and more. Now, I am inclined to let Ford correct problems.
Many thanks.
