I broke 4 torx bits until i got mine to come out. I bought the cheapy ACE brand at the local hardware store. I bought the first one and started loosening them in there parking lot with a 1/2 breaker bar. That way when one would break I would just go back inside and exchange it for anotherone.
I like your way of thinking Hobert! I did the same thing I broke 4 loosening 3 Can't spray the one above the tank which is the one I broke 2 on. The tool store said I wasn't the first to do it in the parking lot
Here's what I found out! I bought new bolts and clip nuts so when I go to take the bed off I can replace them. NOT!!!!
No way man the nuts are not threaded I guess you are supposed to jam the 14 mm bolts head on in there and make your own threads. That sucks big time no wonder they don't COME OUT. I'd be lucky to get em in there with a 50 torx. Anyway I'm gonna tap em and get me some 14mm bolts and stop all this BULL*****.

Well I guess that's something I won't be looking forward to. I bought my truck about 3 weeks ago and I just noticed the bed is offset about half an inch to one side(it does not line up with the cab). I was thinking of fixing it myself since there are only six measly little bolts to loosen but after seeing what a hassle it is I think I'll call the dealer and see if they'll do it for free.
I just got my first SD, and the same thing was wrong with my truck. I used a 55 Torx and removed each bolt and put a coat of never seize on the threads. I had to slide the bed almost an inch to get it to line up with the cab.
You would think if you spent 30k on a truck it would have a better fit up would'nt you? This is not the only thing I've had to line up either, Dr door, hood. Well just my 2 cents
