Hello everybody! This is technically my first post, even though I've been lurking on these forums for the last couple months.
Here's the deal: I think I want to upgrade the stock injectors on my 1988 F-250 460, for more power and more efficiency. I've heard that the later 90's model trucks have 4-hole injectors that bolt straight on. I've also seen a YouTube video where somebody put early 2000s Ford Taurus injectors into his 460 - apparently they also bolt straight on.
What's the best way to go for an injector upgrade, and how much power could I really expect from it?
Whatever injector you use has to flow the same rate as stock(24lb/hr) because the computer has no way to compensate for anything else, and unless those you have now are in really poor condition the replacements won't make any more power or make much if any difference to the way the engine runs or how much fuel it burns. So this is very much one of those cases where.. if it ain't broke don't fix it.
