2024 SD questions

Hey yall! Been a hot minute since I have been on this forum lol. I have upgraded from my dentsides, just ordered a brand new 2024 single cab F250 with the 6.8. I have 2 main questions before I go through with the order.

I got approved at 4.5% for 719 / mo on a black 4x4 single cab with 5000 down. Its a special order truck. I have 3 main questions.

Question 1 I know I want a level and 37's but i havent seen any single cabs with this setup only crews or really any 23+ trucks for that matter so if anybody has a 23+ leveled on 37's please send some pictures, I'd love to see them! Single cabs especially but anything goes.

Also looking for recxonendations for a level kit? Thought about getting just the rough country spring spacer but I have seen some really nice carli and bds setups on 17-22 trucks and just wanted some input. Trying to keep it under 500 bucks unless I go for a lift.

Should I option in the 4.30 gears? Running 37's on a gas motor. I know diesels handle them fine with 3.73's but I know somebody on here has a 6.8/7.3 with 37's and would have a good input on gearing. I won't be towing nothing more then my 74 F250 crew cab on my 24' Maxxd C5X car trailer. Total weight 2800 trailer 6500 truck, wouldn't do it but twice a year to Tennessee and back (500 mile round trip approx) unless I take my foxbody which is a paperweight. Which is why I don't feel the need for a diesel.

Any input on reliability for the new 6.8? I haven't got the chance to even drive one yet, there isn't a dealer within 200 miles that's had one in stock the last 3 months, so I haven't had a chance to drive it.

I'll be running the setup my brother had on his 08 6.4. Brand new 17x9 Pro Comp 69 with a 37x12.50 Ironman MT. I don't like the new 20" Wheels tbh. 17 is plenty and I feel is the perfect size for what I am doing. Daily driver, make it look cool, sit tall, sit pretty and might hit some washboard roads now and again but nothing wild.

Thanks in advance! Looking forward to seeing some nee 2023's on 37's. -Paul

I saw pictures just last night of a Race Red 2023 single cab 4x4 on a small lift with 37s. It also had a brush guard winch bumper. It looked awesome. Really awesome. I was like wow.

Would you mind sharing what credit union or bank you used to get this 4.5%? And are you doing a 60month or something shorter?

4.5% isn't too bad at the present from what I understand. I have heard some are getting rates double that. Pretty sure that's not 719 months though.

With a $500 budget you will be limited to a coil spacer and 4 shocks. Probably could fit Bilstein 5100's into that budget. I wouldn't even look at Carli or BDS lifts unless you are willing to spend 3 times that. I would also make sure that 17's will fit. I have no idea if they do or don't but there is a chance that not all will.

There are photos on here and the net showing 2023's on 37's, should be able to find them pretty easy. There are even some regular cabs.

I'm pretty sure he is saying $719 per month as his payment

Yes, you should have ordered 4.30’s since you want to lift it and go 37’s.

My buddy has a new 6.8. Loves the engine, hates the transmission for towing.

Welcome to the regular cab club. There aren't very many of us here, even fewer with 37's.

I would definitely recommend ordering the 4.30 gear. My truck came with the tiny 17" factory steelies and it was not a good match with the low gears but when I sized up to 285/75/18 (Tremor size wheels) it hit the sweet spot for me - I do a fair amount of towing and plowing. So 4.30 with 37's would be fine for your planned usage I think.

I will reserve judgement on the leveling kit - I am a function over aesthetics guy.

Im not an expert but I about 99.9% positive they will fit. I think the offroad XL/XLT ...the "poor man's Tremor" has 17's

Yes all the "PMT's" come with 17in/33in tires, I have 4 of them.

I've dealt with other brand trucks in the past that could only fit some wheels of a certain size. Maybe someone with a factory 17 can see how much clearance there is.
