I stumbled on a posting a while back. Someone was showing their truck cover. Perfect solution for $75. Well I went searching and found that the same company now sells them for about $450. I wasn't prepared to pay that much so I kept looking. At that time I found nothing comparable for under $400. A couple of weeks ago I decided to give it another try and low and behold, I found the ideal cover for my F-6 for $75.98!
I just checked the listing before I share this and they've revised it and increased the price to $166! I guess I should have bought a bunch. Still a great cover for the money. Fit's like it was custom made for the truck.
I have purchased two covers from CarCovers.com ; one for a 2006 Mazda Miata and one for a 55 Ford F100.
Both fit very well.
However have had to had the Miata cover replaced after only one year; because it was breaking down and flaking apart.
They did replace the cover at a pro-rated discount(supposed to be a 10 year cover) but I had to pay shipping.
If this cover lasts only one year in the full sun, this is not a good value.
The cover for the F100 stays in the garage so it will probably last forever.
This one is made by Rampage. It's main purpose is to protect from UV so it'll be interesting to see how it holds up. I've seen many of these covers and this one appears to be higher quality than most.
I went and had a look at carcovers.com. They offer a lifetime warranty which is rare these days. I didn't see a cab only cover but I did see a hail protection cover which is a great idea for those who live in hail prone regions and don't have a garage or carport. My friend's son lives in Alberta and a few months ago his brand new truck was pummelled by near hardball sized hail.
