I am looking at ordering a Bakflip MX4, the Bakbox and a Bedrug full liner from Tonneau Cover World for my 22 F250. I started a chat and they are knocking off a little over $100 from the prices that are already "on sale." The prices are good... but not so good that it seems to be too good... So, while speaking to the agent, I googled the company and there are tons of bad reviews... Has anyone used this company for orders? Or should one stay away??
EDIT 8/23/21: I just wanted to come back and update this post. I did end up placing an order with Tonneau Covers World at the time of this posting for a Bakflip MX4, BakBox 2, BedRug and a Truxedo tailgate seal. I wanted to use Affirm to pay for the order (6 months no interest) so the lady I was speaking with emailed me an invoice and a link to use the Affirm payment method. After 2 days I still had not received a confirmation email from either Tonneau Covers World, or Affirm. So I contacted TCW again. They cancelled that order and sent me another link, which also did not work, so I ended up placing the order as normal through the TCW site's check out cart, again, still using Affirm, however, since I used the cart they could not give me the discount. Honestly, I was ok with that as I was getting the items regardless. When using the cart though, I immediately got a confirmation email from both TCW and Affirm. On top of that, the MX4, BakBox 2 and the tailgate seal all shipped the very next day (Saturday) as they were listed as "Quickship" items, and then arrived that Wednesday via FedEx. The items appeared to actually ship straight from the manufacturer and were in great condition. I am currently still waiting on the BedRug, however, it was listed as having a 3-4 week wait when ordering it, and I recently got an email saying that the estimated delivery time for it is 8/31-9/6. But, the best part is that after the order was placed I filled out a survey and mentioned all of this, with my intention of being that I was happy with my order. Then about an hour later I received an email from someone at TCW apologizing for the issues when trying to check out and let me know that they were processing a refund for the promised discount. A few days later I received the refund, which actually turned out to be about $55 more than what they were originally giving me. So, my original reason for starting this post was to ask if I could trust an order from this company considering all the bad reviews I came across them on the internet... turns out, I have been very happy with the entire process so far. I have 3 out fo the 4 items already, just waiting for my truck to get here. I did unbox the items and looked over them and see nothing that appears to be a problem, but of course until I get them actually installed, it will be hard to say. But so far, I am happy with my transaction.
So, TLDR: In my experience, ordering from TCW is a safe bet.
I'm not familiar with them but I see the bed cover is priced the same as everywhere else. If not comfortable ordering from them I'm sure a place like Auto Anything or pretty much any of the online retailers will discount the same. Not saying they are good, but Auto Anything popped up a 15% off offer for email sign up. If applicable would be more than $100 savings.

So for the Bakflip MX4, the Bakbox 2, a full Bedrug liner and some tailgate seal is $1592. The Bedrug is $395, the Bakbox is $284 and the tonneau is around $890. Everything’s a little discounted… they sent me a link to use to checkout, but I don’t know how long it’s good for…
Edit to add: when looking up reviews for Auto Anything, it’s the same… lots of 1 star reviews… could it be possible these are from impatient buyers mixed with Covid hold ups?
Oh I see, it's not just $100 off the total, looks like $100 off the bed cover and then some on the other stuff. Personally, I would go with whoever has the best otd price. As long as their return policy isn't trash then just hope for the best, worst case might be dealing with return shipping or something.
I have ordered from them before. I think that tonneaucoversworld is owned by Bak Industries. I had a good experience. I've warrantied several Bakflips. It's not super easy, but it isnt that hard either.

And I keep buying them.......
Well that’s good to hear! I did also mention it will be a few months before getting my truck and they said that would be no problem if something were wrong with an item and I didn’t realize it til months down the road…
Are you committed to the bakflip? I didn’t want the cover to fold up against my window and went with a lomax instead, ended up around $770 shipped from truckalterations.com

I am leaning towards the Bakflip because I like the Bakbox too. It looks like it will be padded well where it lays against the back glass. The Lomax looks interesting too though.
If you think that you might, at some time, want to racks for carrying kayaks or canoes, look at tonneau covers that mount between the bed rails, rather than on top of them. I wish that I had.

I thought about those too but don’t want to spend the extra for a roll up tonneau for something I don’t plan on using. We carry bikes but have racks for that on the back of the camper. We may eventually get kayaks but that would be so far in the future, we may not even have a tonneau by then. If anything else, we would like a camper shell, but that’s not even something we’re interested in now.
Honestly, I would go to ur local LineX dealer and check them out. They usually match prices and carry them.
Actually, I would buy a RollnLock and have the bed sprayed instead for roughly $200 more…~1300+~500 for a 6’ bed.

I had the Bakflip MX4 on my last truck and really liked it, the Bakflip fits into the rails. It holds up to 400lbs. and I stood on many times loading my bikes into the Yakima rack. I found that Truxedo makes rails that replace the Bakflip MX4 rails and include T-slots.
I'm certain that's what is going in the new truck, I haven't really been able find anything else that you can stand on.

I would like to go to a local place, unfortunately, the closest one to me is a couple of hours away. If things fall through with the order I placed, I may look into that more though... As for the tonneau, I love the idea of the roll up tonneau's, however, I don't want it to roll up into the bed, and to be honest, they are just so much more expensive! The hard folding just seems to fit what I want more, including the lower price (which is still pretty high...). And while I have never seen a Bedrug in person, I can tell you that is what I want. I don't like the idea of a spray in liner, whether it's the "cheaper Ford version" or the better LineX spray in. I'm just thinking of how much more comfy the Bedrug will be on the knees, and the dogs paws than a spray in liner... Anyway, for the tonneau, the Bakbox, the Bedrug and the tailgate seal, it came out to $1704 which includes taxes and free shipping... now I am just hoping it comes in in a timely matter, and that it's all good when it gets here!
I also agree that Auto Anything is great to work with and their customer service is awesome. Had an issue with the MX4 on my last truck and Auto Anything sent a replacement right out.
