Probably a stupid question but everything I touch this week just fall apart which make me a little too worried!!!!
It it normal with engine oil dripping when removing the fan blade? A leakage somewhere between the fan blade and pulley? From shaft or any of the 8 bolt holes? Thanks!

Ahhh! It seems you may have come across one of the Flathead "secrets". Most discover that the Ford Flathead Fan Hubs require motor oil the hard way when they start making noise or seize up!
Now you really made my day!!!! I didn't understood where the oil came from because the shaft to the belt pulley was dry !!!!!!
Now I am going to read your write up from vanpelt. Thanks and have a great weekend!!!!!

Today I got more problems!!! Yesterday I filled the fan hub with oil. I followed the instructions from vanpelt. Today it's leaking in another place. It' near the shaft which make the oil dripping down on the engine pulley. I dont know if this is because bad seals in the hub or if it's because I now got more oil in the hub.
The only reason I noticed this was because I just wanted to remove fan to paint it and at the same time make it easier to install the radiator. Do you think new seals could solve this or
could it be something else, like a worn out hub/shaft? Appreciate your suggestions!!!!!!!

Yes, I will order one. I was just a little confused because I know for sure I did not have a leak from the shaft before but I think I made a mistake yesterday. After filling new oil and turned filler plug down 6 o'clock I dont waited long enough to drain the heavy sae 90 oil out from the hole. I think I overfilled the hub.
Today, when opend up the plug and turned 6 o'clock again I got some more out on the shop floor. I am going to clean everything from oil and see what happens. I will try to order the seal kit on monday. Thanks a lot for listening to all my issues!!!!
