What is this?!

Doing some work on my truck, and I came across this smashed/corroded electrical component that I haven't been able to identify. It dangles under the driver side battery box. Any ideas? Thanks!

Do you still have the original air filter and intake air system?

No, it has an aftermarket intake with a K+N filter. Mounted just behind the filter is one of these IAT sensors

Probably the connector for your (missing) "filter minder".

Yes, that is it! Thank you! Now for my last question, should I jump the pins together or isolate them in order to keep the PCM happy?

The wiring only goes to the Instrument Cluster. PCM doesn't get involved.

OK. Will it give me a light on the dash if there's a short or open circuit?

The intent of the sensor is to initiate a light on the dash when there is a restriction in the air filter. I haven't looked to see how it is initiated, but I wouldn't think that you would want to connect the pins, it probably completes the circuit when the vacuum moves the "plunger" far enough. One pin is ground (G100) and the other is power from the HEC.
