My LED contribution

I know this isn't the first LED post and will likely not be the last. My truck, a 1991F250 with the 460 and 4EOD.

My goal... To not drain my battery while listening to my stereo on the beach in Baja. My done

A very reasonable goal. Definitely don't want a dead battery on the beach anywhere!
I use dual batteries still though, just in case.

Are you saying you already did it though? Or are planning to still?

The only bulbs I did not change out were the ashtray, it is shrouded and I did not feel like cutting the housing waa worth it, the map lights in the dome light, and the turn indicator bulbs but not because the arrows are green. I had previously installed LED tail and marker lights and they work fine but when I put LEDs in the turn signal sockets there was not enough load to trigger the signal / flasher relay.

I did not need to disconnect the speedo cable at the transmissiom on my '91. I have read here some have had to. All in all it was a straightforward job maybe a 3 on a scale of 1-10. Do go easy on the plastic parts they are brittle and easy to brake. I bought my LEDs at superbrightleds.com and the blue 194s were on clearance for $1.88 a piece at the time of this post, May 2020. They have high reviews and all worked perfectly. You need 18 to do them all, 19 if you do the ashtray.
