Hello from Germany
Hello from Germany
Hi there,
I'm Chris, living in the near of Bonn in the western of Gernany. Like my name already says, I'm totally into Draft Horses like Shires, Clydesdales and Percherons. Not having an own horse yet, but looking forward to get one maybe next year, I'm also looking for a nice truck as a daily. I don't like the european Ranger that much and am way more interested in getting a F150/F250.
I like the Gens 7, 9 and newer, the 8th Gen isn't my cup of tea to be honest. I don't have any Ford experience yet, but as I had a Pontiac Trans Sport years ago and it was by far the worst thing ever, I'm not into GM vehicles, a Dodge Durango/Ram would also be nice, but I like the Ford F Series, too.
I'm here, because I want some more informations about the Ford F series, maybe some advice, which would be the "best" (I know, that has a lot to do with personal taste) Ford for me. Currently I felt in love with a 86 F250 with the 460 engine, because it has a nice look and a nice price point and seems to have enough power for like twoing up to 3,5 tons. Buut it is an old truck,
which might be on the thirsty site of trucks.
I don't care if Diesel or Gas, but would prefer a Gas enigne, because of the politics here... I also don't care if it is more of a historic truck or something modern, the more I could possibly do on my own, the better it is, but I don't have much skills in mechanics.
Also I would prefer a Super Cab, as I might just drive alone or with another person, but want the "extra space" like a trunk for grocery shopping and stuff. Also when it is registrated as a "truck" and not as a "car" it becomes way cheaper hiere in Germany, because of taxes. I could imagine getting a SUV, too, but also more Bronco-ish... Because I also like three door SUV with a bigger trunk space, with enpugh of room to sleep in it, as a alternative to the truck
The goal is to get a vehicle, that can tow the horses and also have enough space to sleep in it, which I could to on the bed, when the bed is covered.
Thanks for your help and all the best
Chris
