Deer season till 12/9 (shotgun) & Turkey all done as of today 11/25

Just got in, I've been out at the ranch where my son and grandson were both able to fill their tags (deer).

My sister-in-law, who is a petite girl, shot a 535lb black bear this fall with her muzzleloader. It was the 2nd biggest bear killed in PA this year. Funny thing is she was a Phoenix city girl until she and my BIL moved back to rural Central PA. Now she and my BIL work in a gun shop.

They are getting the bear stuffed to the tune of $5000. It will be on display at the gun shop.

I went to the Amish butcher, Stoltzfus, to buy ground beef. This is the place we stopped at during Truckstock a couple of years ago.

They process deer. Central PA hunters must have had a good weekend.

edit: I had to double check this. Pennsylvania deer rifle season started on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. And they can now hunt in Sundays.
