Bed deck attachment to bed sidewalls

How is the bed deck attached to the side walls? Spot welded? This photo does not really show it, but I can see small spots of daylight through this joint in the front left corner. Almost looks like it was caulked. My bed is has Line-X.

Bed is purposely put together with gaps for drainage.
And, yes, spot welded.

^ what he said. When my bed no longer drains I know it's time to use the pressure washer to clear the dirt and debris out of the gaps.

Not sure how they are put together but the gaps are normal if not intentional. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1614400-bed-gap.html

I didn't think there was any welding on the aluminum body. Parts are bonded together with adhesive. I could be wrong but recall Ford reported they got rid of all welding (a big workplace improvement) when they converted the F150 factory to build the aluminum truck bodies.

Not for the bed floor.

I'm pretty sure the military grade aluminum is connected via adhesive, special screws and ribits. Including the bed wall adjacent to the cab.
