Missing bolts

Hi, so i recently decided to take a look underneath my truck to see where it could possibly be leaking oil from and saw that there were 2 bolts missing from my transmission. I have a 2006 F250 6.0, still learning the ins and outs of it.
Is this a concern?

I'm not sure what those are for, but I didn't have bolts in those holes on that side of the transmission when I pulled my starter. The starter has three bolts. Two are tightened on the starter side and thread into the rear cover. One passes through the rear engine cover, is tighten on the transmission side, and tightens into the starter.

There isn't normally supposed to be oil between the engine and bell housing. If there was, it would be a rear main seal most likely.

Have you checked the valley for active leaks while the engine is running?

I thought it was fairly normal for 6.0 rear main seals to leak/sweat? There's never any drips under my truck, but on every oil change i wipe a bit of oil from the bell housing cover.

Me too on the oil "sweat" - had it all 17 years of ownership.
I attribute it to a small bedplate leak.

My 2005 has weeped, (wouldn’t call it a leak), its entire life. Bought it from a Ford dealership used. Before the warranty expired I started complaining about the rear main seal dripping. It was replaced under warranty. Guess what…..it was still wet, albeit a bit less. In any event, my 6.0 has always had a drip since 2008. I just look at it like my old Harley…..it just likes to mark its territory!!

I tend to "weep" after a long 96 at work.

I pulled the engine out, resealed EVERYTHING, took care to install everyhting textbook and within a few months....there she is! The infamous weep from the rear main.

I will get a drip once in a while....kinda like a dog marking his territory
