[updated:LAST EDITED ON 17-Jul-02 AT 01:26 AM (EST)]I just got my Accounting Degree, and now I am working on my BA in business management. I also work in the college library, and make a few bucks racing on the weekends when I have the chance. I went for my first interveiw for an accounting postion today. They asked me back on friday for testing in Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word so I am hopeful that means something. I really want to get my MA in business and then teach accounting and business management at a college someday.

I'm actually kind of surprised that I'm not the only Unix Systems Administrator here. I guess Ford Truck lovers do all sorts of things during the day!

I am a Field Service Advisor for an OEM of industrial blowers and fans. Large process fans with rotors up to 200" in diameter and 100,000 lbs. I travel nationally and internationally advising customers and their contractors on how to install, repair and or operate our equipment. A large percentage of my work as a company trouble shooter is industrial vibration analysis, in-place rotor balancing, laser drive train alignments and bearing assembly. After that, it all paper work and pretty boring.

I'm a special facilities waterpark lifeguard during summer months, and spend the rest of the year as a GSR at the local Holiday Inn. Neither job is particularly easy or enjoyable.
By the way.. what's so wrong with our trucks? My '78 seems to be indestructible, and it's easy to work on! My former '93 and '88 Fords were also great vehicles!

Part owner and jack of all trades at a retail/contractor lumber yard in the San Francisco Bay Area. Including babysitting the crew, keeping the unix system running clean, the NT box pumping mail, and a mill operator.

Damn, I was nodding off again...up too late...what was the question again?

Oh yeah...I'm a technical support rep with Dell. I actually talked to a lady once that complained that she couldn't click on something on her desktop. After an hour of troubleshooting over the phone I found out that she was using her VCR remote and pointing it at her monitor. It's in situations like that when I realize I might not be as big of a dumb a#@ as I thought :-)
