I have a 1995 F-150 2wd with the 4.9L and E4OD, I had ran an OBDI test and got code 452C which was Vehicle Speed Sensor signal fault. I went under the truck to find the sensor and where it would usually be on the snout of the transmission is just a plastic plate, there is no connector coming out of it. The plug in the harness for it is hanging right above it and it has a factory cap on it meaning it was never used or plugged in, has anyone else seen this before? I've had issues with my transmission and torque converter ever since I bought the truck and I'm trying to replace things that may be the cause, leaning towards the speed sensor since the symptoms of it failing are very close to what I'm experiencing but I'm not sure what to do now since it doesn't appear to even have one.
“C” indicates that it is a stored code. What test did you do and have you recently clear the codes?
I’ve been using the Innova Ford OBDI code reader, I did both a KOEO and a KEOR test, I believe it threw this code on the KOEO test though. I wasn’t sure how to reset the codes, I did a bit of research and there were a thousand different ways and there were mixed replies about them.
