What is the bracket in the right side of the picture for? The nut/bolt fell off of mine at some point and the bracket rattled loose today - heard it when I hit a bump. I've got it tightened back down in place but honestly I could not for the life of me figure out its purpose, nor do any repair videos mention what it is or if it's important.
