Fuel filter delete
Has anyone had a DIY friendly filter delete? Dealership charged me $300 on a fuel filter change. I had an 2003 Dodge where I bypassed the original filter bowl and added a threaded filter housing to accept screw on type filters. Easier and cheaper for maintenance. The 2005 6.0L kits I found are crazy expensive. I’d like to get rid of these cartridge filters and install a screw on housing to change them out easier.

The cartridge filter was the easiest and cleanest filter I've ever changed? I can't imagine doing it another way, honestly. You crack the top loose, take it off, swap filters, and put it back. Even if you have to buy a new cap (like I did because mine cracked) it's dirt simple and quick. Changing filter styles seems like more effort than it's worth.
