I have put LED lights on my truck. Went with amber fogs and glad I did. Only test drove them tonight and think they will be a vast improvement over factory lights.
Only replaced two of the four headlights as I think it will bother people if I did all four. Would love to see the output of 4 LEDs though.
I made the switch to all LED bulbs in my 2017 F350, making an marketable improvement at night between halogen and LED clarity of the road. What brand of LED bulbs did you use? I have a mix of Auxito, Alla, and Beamtech (front & fogs). FORSCAN setting for Bambi is great for those dark nights and roads, to include preventing hyper-flash for turn signal bulbs.
I won't get into the LED/halogen housing argument. No one wins the endless circle.
However, I went with the yellow fogs a few years ago. Big improvement for me. I also have them set to come on with DRL. Nice contrast between the yellow and the white of the headlights and switchback turn signals. Much easier to be seen.
I knew there would be naysayers. I was one once. But until you try it for yourself and see the nice cutoff of the light you will not believe it does work. I think the first LED replacements had that problem but not anymore.

I used Auxito for the foglights and Torchbeam for the headlights.
One just needs to properly realign the headlights after installing LEDs. Probably 99% of those people blinding you with aftermarket LEDs, never realigned their headlights.

I seldom get flashed. And when I do I think it's mainly because people see all 4 headlights on and assume that the high beams are on.
I got some pointers here:
I have the headlight LEDs from F150leds and I've never been flashed for it, but i spent some time aligning them and tested it with a cop in his cruiser to see if they caused him any problems. Id agree that a majority of the problem is probably people who didn't allign them.
I was hoping to just stick with halogens on these but they were dim as could be and after having a bulb burn out and having to change it on the side of the highway I appreciate the longevity of LEDs more than I ever have before

If you think four halogen headlights on a tall pickup are dim, maybe you shouldn’t be driving at night.

I disagree in the case of my F350. I don't have and don't plan to swap out to LED bulbs, but the stock headlights suck. The light is yellowish and about on par, IMO, with the single halogen lights in my 30 year old Dodge truck or my '73 Bronco, which is not good either. If all you do is lighted road driving, then they are fine. On unlit roads in BFE, I prefer a better light to see down the road and avoid critters. The factory LED lights in my Nissan and my Wife's Honda are so much better and don't blind other drivers.
I think many issues with replacement LED bulbs are buying cheap or improper lights bulbs and not aiming them correctly.
do it right. embrace the suck and do an actual retrofit with projectors. hate your life while youre cooking the headlight in the oven and then wrestling with hot plastic trying to pull the lens off the assembly. Not like i have any ptsd from this process a time or 3.
