... For a custom combination many people use the Lokar kits but I'd bet you could find a kickdown combo for a 429 and C6 since they would have originally had a setup for that. People often have noted that a change to carb from 2 bbl to 4 bbl have required changes to the kickdown. Carb spacers and other changes can also throw off the geometry.
good to know. i'll keep an eye out for some of this stuff. not needed now as I can alwasy just drop to 2nd as needed. but would definately be a "nice-to-have" sorta thing. THanks!

You have no choice but to buy a Lokar kit. You have a tunnel ram with two 4 bbl. carbs. There are no factory parts for that. The transmission will not work as designed without the kickdown working. Without the kickdown connected your trans is shifting only on torque demand and not throttle position.
