My carb was leaking at the accelerator pump so it was time for a rebuild. The first time I ever heard of a power valve was when I rebuilt the Ford (Holley?) carb on my F1. It seems the Motorcraft on my 351M has this too. But my rebuild kit came with a power valve that is significantly different from the one that came out.
My question is will it matter?
The power valves are interchangable. The larger holes will give a little bigger shot. blow out portection is through the bottom of the carb, most never Holley's have it and there is a kit for older ones.
