Hey everyone just bought a 2004 6.0 with 290xxxkms new turbo, glow plugs, glow plug harness, heads, injector orings, batteries, alternator, and I was driving it to work today it started great at my house (-10c) usual amount of condensation, then I let it warm up and drove it 45 minutes at 120km/h on the highway when I got to the town my job (-22c) is in I stepped on the throttle to pass, i bellowed white smoke it disappeared quickly but it was very thick, this happened 3 more times at stop signs and then was fine, I then drove it 2 k to the grocery store and back without shutting it off and it did the same thing, when I finally parked I noticed a slightly rougher idle than I was used to. I shut it off checked the coolant after it cooled down and it didn’t lose a drop just concerned about it, no loss of power or cels or anything like that help please

 

Is the EGR system still active?

Any smell that you could detect from the smoke?

Any drop in level of the degas bottle (coolant)?

 

no drop, smells normal or a like a little I burnt diesel nothing eye burning or anything, the egr cooler is blocked off the egr is not

 

Sounds like an injector.

You need a good scan tool to pull codes.

 

Dang thought I was just being paranoid, it only does it like 3 times then goes away until I sit still for a bit was hoping it was just the change in temp
