7.3 no start/ rough start

So I’ve got a 97 7.3 and yesterday the check engine light randomly came on while driving and it started running super rough. I got it towed home pulled the codes and the only thing was for the cam position sensor. Replaced it and the truck started then immediately shut back off. Got another sensor thinking it was bad out of the box and now the truck starts but still runs bad. Cam code keeps coming back. Possibly the pigtail?

What are you using to pull codes?
Did you run a buzz test?
Did you run a contribution test?
Did you check the engine oil level?
Are you keeping the fuel tank well above 1/4?
Did you visually and physically check every engine plug all the way back to the IDM and PCM?
Battery up to the task?
Battery cables in amazing condition visually and physically?
Did you unwrap looms and check several inches back into the harness on both sides of plugs??? Eyeballs and fingers!!

Biggest....
OEM sensors and control items from the Ford or International counter guy?? There are only a few online places to get your stuff that are trusted, never cramazon, Fleabay, or the corner store. This rule must never be broken.

pull the wire loom back and inspect for worn insulation then pull hard on the wires to find a break

everything appears to be in order. Last night I did a good cleaning of the battery terminals and made sure everything was tight. I did discover my glow plug relay went bad and one stud was loose internally and getting extremely hot. I replaced that as well and now the only code is for my ECM. I’m probably going to order a new ECM it just doesn’t make sense why that’s bad unless that relay shorted out and fried it
