Mine goes into a 15 gallon drum and a guy picks it up for his waste oil burner.
Sorry somehow I quoted the wrong post.
I miss having a fuel oil furnace in the house. I’d just dump my waste oil into the tank to burn it. Had to replace the furnace in 2014 with an LPG burning furnace.
A 16 penny nail or a sharp punch after you crack it makes it a lot cleaner.
Done that before, with a punch instead of a nail. Drains what's in the filter, but there's still oil trapped above the filter in the housing that doesn't drain into the filter (quite a bit, actually).
So, just when you think that all the oil is out of the filter and you can simply remove the filter, more splashes everywhere, lol... Just one of the other things to take into account, but still a PIA.
I put Fumoto valves on every truck I buy. Hook up the hose and drain the oil to any spot I want with zero splatter or mess. Simple as pie. I love them.
Definitely the easiest oil change of all vehicles I've had. Drain valve and 5 gallon bucket club here. I can't say I look forward to oil changes, but they couldn't be much easier....
