Anyone know of a way for water to get under the door threshold in the gutter down there. I put new cups and siliconed them. I parked on a hill and I had water in the rear after a rain. It looks like its comming from the rear... maybe rear window?? whats that plastic piece outside on the rear corners? I don't want to tear it apart until I exhaust everybodys experience...
Thanks Oh both sides had the same amount about 3 oz's
Hey 99f350sd,
Had the same problem last year. It looked like the water was getting in on the cab seam starting below the window, however I wouldn't rule out it starting on up. Anyways, I resealed the seam starting under the window rubber, both inside and out. I really poured the sealer to it underneath the rubber because I feel that that was where the stream was starting. Before I posted this I lifted both threshold covers and after 4 inches of rain earlier this week they're both dry.
BTW, I also found a leak on the right side front that was flowing into the threshold channel. I traced that one back to the foam rubber gasket on top of the air box. I replaced the gasket with RTV silicone. That leak was actually splashing water onto the passenger floor.
Thanks I found mine its the pass side air vent behind the seat. Now I have to pull the bolts for the bed and move it back and pull the vent.. Thanks for your reply..
