I'm giving you your own thread for this truck for clarity and to make it easier to come back with other questions or updates.
F60 = F600 gas, 4x2
D = 330 2V HD (XD)
V = Kentucky Truck Plant
BA1753 = 1978 numerical series, November 1977 production
158 = 158 inch wheelbase
R = Light Jade
F604 = F600 gas, 4x2, 16,000 lbs GVWR
AA8
A = I don't have the info on this one, but A is almost alway black vinyl
A = Ford control character
8 = Regular standard cab
A = New Process model 435 four speed transmission
64J
64 = Rockwell (Timken) model F-106 single speed rear axle, 15,000 lbs capacity, 6.80 ratio
J = Ford front axle, 4,700 lbs capacity
16000 = 16,000 lbs GVWR
22 = Charlotte District Sales Office
No special order, bought off the lot from dealer inventory.
As always, beware widowmaker wheels although by '78 hopefully they were no longer putting them out there.

So, there ought to be a few decent HF54s still extant, should I need to replace rather than repair this one.
