I have a 99 navigator i changed my seats from a 03 expedition so i lost my power seat module. But the same time i lost my mirrors and keyless entry. Now my radio and electric widows stopped working. Is this just a coincidence? A few years ago i had to replace my windshield because when it rained my gauges and lights went crazy. Could my GEM module be the problem ?
Where is the old module? If you can just put it back in and adapt it to the new seat it should resolve those issues. The motors and seat heater should almost the same. And the passenger seat sensor should work also. For the SRS. Allowing you to hunt down other. The CAN bus must have all its moduels intact. Or the computer must be told what's happening. Also have you don't your ground inspection? On all the ground point? Corrosion on grounds attracts demons and gremlins that haunt the truck. And ground straps are important. Those flat braided ones.
The seat wiring was different i just hooked the ground and power to the seat to get it to work. I put 04 seats in a 99 navigator. My first day off ill hook the module up. I was hoping the navigator was to old for the can bus system.
Figured it out my fuse box was corroded. Watched a guy on youtube on how to take it apart and clean it. When i got it back together it started blowing the fuse for radio and dome lights. Found the light under the hood was blowing it. Took it apart and cleaned it. I guess it was so corroded wasn't getting enough power to blow the fuse.
