Remember there is no problem that cannot be cured……………..without the use of high explosives.

Explosives can be very useful, in moderation...

I've always thought (for example) that some people looked better on Camels than in Aeroplanes. A few charges in the right places could accomplish that handily - but I'm just an angry old man...

(Not intended entirely seriously)

Absolutely!

Tim

Learn from the mistakes of others. You cannot live long enough to make them all yourself.

Learning from the mistakes of others is a seldom used skill.

Teaching others by your mistakes is better used.

But the fact still remains............I hate computers.

Well that computer is fooling no one. I know all about assimilation from watching Captain Picard kick Borg butt and I'm not falling for it.

Theo, I would ~dearly~ love to. Especially with another dang long weekend coming up (turkey day) where I will have to find some way to entertain myself while all you FTE folks with lives - have lives.

But this 98 Ford Ranger situation has officially ticked me off - seriously. I have reached my (Irish/Redneck) breaking point and there is no turning back now. By next weekend I will have a high-mpg beater and the Ranger will be on jackstands starting to say aaaaah for a hot little small block and ~some~ workable solution to that %^&$% IFS and plastic hubs.

. . so my 'recreational budget' is now crimped (thank goodness my other toys are in working order and well maintained. )

However, I honestly DO have a whole pile of assorted Ethernet switching gear. I can ~easily~ send you some that will allow you to troubleshoot and repair your network SNAFU (at no practical cost to either of us).

The words trouble shoot, and repair should never be included in any conversation with me in it.

I have a gift from the Wolf, that is increasing my electronic knowledge, but it is not an easy task. I would be at a total loss concerning what to do with anything of that kind, so thank you for the offer, but without a brain included in the package, I would have no way of doing even the easiest of things with them..

Brain dead is a good description of my technical know how.
