Re-load your hard drive. Save everything you need to an external drive, open the disk drive, shut down the computer, get the re-boot CD that came with the computer and put it in, shut the disk drive, turn the computer back on, and when you get the menu up follow all the prompts for "reformat hard drive". It may ask you if you want to restore the computer to an "out of box" state. Yes.

Then re-load everything.

I have had to do this with my computer. My last laptop fried the motherboard - it had an overheating issue (or, more specifically, a cooling issue - not good enough the way I used it). In the time it was functional I rebooted it 2 or 3 times. My current laptop just went through one reboot a couple weeks ago - works wonders.

If you don't have the factory reboot CD - check your computer. There might be a program on there for making a reboot CD. Thats what I had to do - the CD that came with my computer is no where to be found. When I made my own it took 3 DVD's - two for the reboot and one for drivers.

My computer is a Toshiba. The program for creating disks is "recovery disk creator". Do a search in your start menu for it.

My next computer might be a 13" MacBook Pro.

I would suggest resetting your modem and/or router. The modem may not have a reset button, so unplug it for 60 seconds and then plug it back in. If you have a router, find the reset button and hold it down until the lights on the front flash then let go. This may not work, but it is something simple to try.

Just out of curiousity, have you rebooted your compute, and then tried it ?

Sometimes that works --I suspect that some things don't really get cleared until you reboot.

Also, does the compute that works also run Vista? Are you up to date on all of the MicroSloth Updates?

You might also try making a new account on your computer.

This all assumes that you routinely run virus scans, and that you keep your antivirus up to date.

When I read that you had vista on the problem computer I was going to ask what the others were running.
You may be able to run a repair of the Vista OS with out losing everything.
A call/ chat to/with Microsoft support may get you an answer.
newenglandturbodieselpower.com opened just fine on my desktop running Win7 pro.
I just went to my Toshiba laptop running Vista and the site loaded for me with no problem.

What are you running for antivirus/firewall software??

Try disabling the firewall and antivirus to see if it works..

I would also try uninstalling Chrome, Firefox to see if it works with just Internet Explorer.

If it doesn't try uninstalling Internet Explorer also..

Then I would reinstall IE to see if it is fixed..

If it works then reinstall Chrome and firefox..

It loads fine for me, I'm running Windows 7, and IE. Are you putting the www in the address when you type it in your browser?
