I have a 2019 F350 Super Duty which came from the factory with the puck system for towing a fifth wheel. We put the camper in storage for the winter and pulled the hitch out of the bed as well. In putting the dust covers back on I noticed something odd with on of the holes. It appears that part of one of the holes is missing.
I don't believe this is normal since three of them look like the pic labeled Pass Rear. I am curious why that would happen and more importantly, how to fix it. Has anyone seen this before?
I thought I would update the post. First thanks to everyone that posted a response. I had my truck in for service at a dealership and happened to know the service manager so was able to get out into the shop and talk with a service technicion while it was up on the lift. He inspected the puck system and said that what I am seeing is normal.

Reason: Update the post.
not normal. have you checked underneath that location. I would have to look at mine but maybe it is a cap or something designed to keep most of the debris out of the hole but allow some drainage.
It looks to me like the bottom has been broken out of the socket. Has that one historically been more difficult than the others to latch? I’m thinking that if the latch was adjusted too tight it would be forced against the bottom of the well and act like a hammer driving down the road with a load, eventually banging the bottom out.
When taking the hitch out, yes this one was tight but it always seems like one of them is tight when removing the hitch, not unusually the same one. Is the bottom just a protective cover or is it integral to the locking system. The hitch was securely in the truck before removing.
I must not have used the right search terms as I didn't get any results when I did one. I guess everyone else just passed it over when they didn't have any useful information to pass on.

Well, the search is crap on this forum. Never works for me. Returns lots of unrelated threads.

My comment wasn't aimed at not searching, more along the lines as I have seen this before so seems normal.
I think what you're seeing is the frame it's against. I looked at
mine and that's what it looks like if you look real close?
Also, looks like they didn't put the collars on.
