I am looking for a fifth wheel puck system. The factory one is on national backorder. Any recommendations? Will the Reese 30138-26 fit? It is a 2017 F250 Super Duty
I ran into that as well. Then started calling smaller dealers in Colorado and found one at a dealer that had ordered several before the backorder. Just keep trying, you may get lucky.......
Not sure if you're looking for a slider/auto slider system or not. Pullrite just release a Ford Factory puck system on their superglide. Demco and B&W also have sliders that will fit in the factory puck system. I'm torn myself. Leaning towards the Demco.
I just put a Pullrite SuperFifth into my 2019 F-350. It fit perfectly into the factory holes. Took about ten minutes to install. I have a longbed truck so didn't need a slider type hitch.
I've used the PullRite system for 9 years now and very much prefer it to the more common two-jaw systems. PullRite has a jaw that closes completely around the kingpin and eliminates that nagging "is the hitch closed and locked correctly?" issue, along with the attendant pull tests, etc.
If you don't have a hitch yet I'd give this brand a look.
So the way I understood it was that the 2017 had the inner brackets welded on the frame.
The -a part number was for the earlier trucks and came with the 4 brackets whereas the -b was for the 2017 and up and came with the outer brackets only.
My -b kit had all 4, the inners were welded.
So if you can find the -a and it only comes with the outer brackets I have 2 inners I can supply but your truck probably has the welded inners....
It also came with the complete kit to add the in bed trailer wiring.
It is also suggested you replace the bed bolts but I retorqued mine to the required 129 ft lbs and had no issue.
Also just posted about my install.....
