Puck System Differences?

Puck System Differences?
When you look at the Reese Elite hitches on etrailer, the gross towing lists 18,000 lbs. for that model but then says "Capacity is limited to that of your rail kit".
I have the 26,500 lb. Elite hitch in my F450. But I have a friend who just recently bought an '18 F350 SRW with the factory pucks. Is their any chance his puck system is weaker than mine? I always assumed they were the same system for all Super Duties. Just curious why it says that.
