SO i did a trans service and flush on my 4r100 on a 04 F250 4wd. Everything went well until a drain tub spilt so I lost track of my fluid count. Completed the service and fill it up. Now it drives fine unless I am driving up a incline "leaving my driveway" it slip where it will not move. I have had several people check the fluid level and have mix answers, full, low, in middle. I had it at a shop NOT a trans shop and was told fluid level was good. VERY difficult to read the dip stick. Any thoughts? I know the filter was in good but could it have pop off? Thank you for any input.
I agree but everybody's having a hard time telling me if it's at the right level or not. I do not want to overfill and have issues. I also do not want it to be too little fluid and burn up the clutches. Don't know what the next move is. What if I just drain the pan make sure the filter is where it's supposed to be put it back together how many quarts should come out of that pain alone and how many to put back in?

I can't give you an answer on how much comes out of the pan alone, BUT, if I recall you need to check the fluid at operating temperature and with the engine running, while parked on level ground. So I would say at minimum fire it up and let it run for a bit on level ground, then go check the fluid without shutting the truck off.
You can be a bit full and not have problems, and if you are overfull you can always drain a little out.

That is the way I'm checking it, you look at both sides of the dipstick and there's two different readings all the time. Not sure what to do next.
I would pull the pan back off & take the filter off & make sure the o-ring on the filter tube & everything is as it's supposed to be. Make sure the old o-ring came out with the original filter & the new one seats in the groove & make sure you got the correct filter.
