86 EFI, 302. replaced a capacitor in the ECM. fuel pump was shutting off after a few seconds. now, it takes a while longer like 30 seconds or more to stop running. Could that be a bad or weak fuel pump in the tank? Single tank truck. or is the Ecm just going bad? Thank for the help.
Didn't you have a thread a short time ago about ? For those of that may need help with this type of issue, could you please update thread, I think you may have had pictures in that thread, forgive me if I'm wrong. IMO it's better to keep related problems together in your thread. Thanks
So, I turned the key on and off repeatedly for quite a while. After doing that the fuel pump has not stayed on onger that three seconds or so without starting the truck. I ordered a new Motorcraft ignition switch and hopefully was my problem.
