I'm fixing to replace my distributor and everything I've read says to run the wire to the negative post on my ignition coil but my original one is wired to the positive side which should I do up until a few weeks ago the ran great
It's been a while BUT with ignition on, grab your voltmeter and see how many volts are on the positive side of the coil wire. If it matches the battery, get a resisted coil, if it is reading something like 9 or so, there's a resistor built into your harness somewhere and you need the unresisted coil.
