Serial number info
I bought a 60's era F600 grain truck at auction to use as a dump bed farm truck. I would like to shorten the bed eventually depending on how challenging it is to do so; I have decent welding skills and low level mechanical skills (mostly on tractors). Recently retired so have plenty of time to tinker and learn. I have seen conflicting information on other posts regarding deciphering the serial number and would ask for help on that initially and a good/safe source of the shop manual..
The serial number is F60DK191395a.

D = 292 4V HD Ford Y-block V8, 153 certified net HP @ 3800 RPM
K = Kansas City Assembly Plant
191395 = 1961 numerical series, July 1961 production
If you still have the original warranty plate on the driver door (must match the VIN) that can be decoded for more info.
