Looking to Buy

Looking at an 04 excursion with the 6.0. Owner claims is all stock and has never had a tuner in 160k. Has typical rocker rust but good shape overall. I’m aware of the 6.0 shortcomings, but are there any things I should be looking at body or electrical wise on it. And yes I’m aware it’s a 20 year old rig so I don’t expect it to be showroom quality. Know my way around the early aughts ford bodies so not scared there but haven’t owned a diesel ford yet, we went with the 6.2 gasser in our 2016 F350 when we got it 4 years ago mostly because of price (cost of entry is what’s kept me out of the Powerstroke club the last 25 years &#129315

So, you're "aware of the 6.0 shortcomings", but still want one as your first diesel?

We have decided to sell our v10. No rocker rust and well maintained. About 160k.

plan on selling it in a month

Ended up passing after looking. Drivers side head had a good seep, initially thought was just the valve cover gasket, but after the drive was wet on whole back half of the head. No bueno but glad I looked at it.
