Looking to replace my front hubs (oem) and rumor has they are made by Warn. Turns out they are not according to a Warn representative...I attempted a "life time warranty" claim through them since my truck is longer covered by the manufacturer. Upon our discussion they claim they are not made by Warn, "they do not supply Ford with 4wd hubs, only aftermarket." Mine have been replaced under warranty before but truck is old (2017) and third set of hubs. I'll end up going with Warns before snow flies, but the Chinese knock offs look tempting......................not.
Please don't send any money to China if you can afford an American made product. The Chinese are only using our money to build up their military to fight against us.
I have a set of Warns in the garage for whenever mine start acting up.
Yep, I'll be next. This will be my third set since I bought this truck new. I know darn well if I buy the oem's from Ford I will be replacing them again. .........the price for Warns is a rip off. Typical 'Merica move imo.
I would like to know who makes Fords hubs since it isn't Warn...probably China lol

in that case for the love of Pete don't look up the sources of origin of Ford factory parts on your truck.
What are you guys doing to wear out your hubs? I never had to replace hubs.
They're not wearing out, they will seize up at the actuator ****, auto select still works to engage 4wd, but if you want to manually lock them they become hard if not impossible to rotate from road salt, dirt, etc.
when you’re buying an entire vehicle you don’t have a lot of options.
on the other hand when you buy parts & odds n ends…..you can try to be a little more selective and support American companies.
a big reason 20 year old GMT800 trucks are still everywhere. Lots of after market parts to keep them rolling and no shortage of domestic aftermarket support.

I assume the reason they get stiff is lack of exercising via the manual method. My 2019 are getting pretty hard to turn but never do it either since I just turn the **** in the truck and I’m in 4WD. Is lubricating them not worth the trouble?
Are the OE hubs vacuum operated? So I'm assuming if you replace with traditional hubs you can also eliminate the vacuum system, which would be a major side benefit.

I have been able to tear them apart to lube, but its not the metal gears its inside the hub actuator **** itself and that is the part the is seized and its also sealed. Another thing I noticed on the factory hubs is in the middle of the dial it says "FORD", this is the vent hole where the hubs let out vacuum pressure, its almost like a gray sponge material inside behind the letters. If you put some soapy water on the hub dial and turn the **** back and forth you will see soap bubbles coming from the FORD, I kid you not and the chinese knock offs do not have this vent.
