There’s a lot going on with your question, but here is my answer:
go To Walmart and get this:
Valvoline Flex Fill SAE 75W-140 Full Synthetic Gear Oil 1 QT Squeeze Pouch

it will have it if you need it, and it does no harm if you don’t need it.
once you buy gear oil in a squeeze bag, you will never buy gear oil in a regular container again.
and the cost is downright reasonable
this is what I used in our edge’s transfer PTU which calls for 75w-140 and my expedition that calls for the same. Neither require modifier, but it does no harm.
