Brake lights issue

I have a 1990 F150 with 302. The person who owned this truck before me for some reason started splicing a bunch of wires for the brakes and turn signals. I got the signals working but brake lights don’t work. After researching I found there is the hazard fuse missing. It is supposed to be behind the glove box but I found 3 wires cut. Could anyone tell me exactly what should be there and what all 3 wires are for? There is a white/with red stripe, light green with red stripe and red with white stripe.

It's not a fuse behind the glove box, it is the emergency flasher.

So what exactly goes there? Do all 3 wires go to it? Here is a picture of the wires if it helps at all

Red with white stripe should be battery power.
White with red stripe goes to the turn signal switch.
Green with red stripe is the brake light signal from the brake light switch.

Do your emergency flashers work? I can't imagine why somebody would cut off that connector unless they were going to relocate the flasher somewhere else.

Jump the white/red and green/red and then see if your brake lights work.

I don’t believe I have a switch for the hazards right now. I can’t seem to find one anywhere. Is there typically a special switch for this year? On my 88 I had I had a switch but can’t find one on here. But I installed a flasher relay/fuse the round one. And when I hit the brakes it flashes like hazards are on haha. So do I need to add a switch or what am I missing?

I think the hazard switch was mounted on the center top of the steering column cover.
This will be 1 of your best friends for your truck.

To turn my hazards on it’s a little thing sticking out of the column you pull on the underside of the column

This is an old photo I have

That was helpful I found the flasher button. So. Added some pics of what I had installed. And everytime I pushed on the brake it would be like the flasher was on. So instead of a solid brake light it would flash. I have it working now by just running the hot to the brake switch and it’s working. But what am I doing wrong on having it hooked up correctly? The wiring diagram I found shows the 2 going together so I tried that. Did I buy the wrong piece ti plug in?

Yeah you were correct I had it hooked up wrong. But I hooked it up correct way and brake lights worked but as soon as I crimped it all down, for some reason brake lights still work but when I turn on hazards it stays on not flashes. Honestly for right now I’m okay with it. And I did double check I had wiring right and when I plugged everything in at first it worked correctly. I probably just need to re do the connections. Thank you for your help

Are you sure your flasher is good?
