Ah yes good one! I forgot about this. Allow to embellish and say that one should get the longer coils to get the Helicoil/Recoil through the full depth of the plate.
Absolutely go full depth with helicoils! The “3D” designation is the length of the insert - 3 times the diameter- so 3 x 10mm. This is as long as you can go with a helicoil in that spacer plate. The helicoil kit comes with shorties, I needed to order the longer 3D ones off Amazon.

Oops. I missed the 3D in your post. You had it covered!

Hey Leonard, if you missed it others might too, so I’m gad you chimed in and made me explain further. When I pulled my starter, one bolt was only finger tight and the 2 bolts were different sized heads and different lengths… New bolts (with the mushroom head) from Napa at 40mm long are almost full depth in the helicoil.
And a fuel pressure gauge, no way to measure that otherwise.
All this stuff I'm recommending can be easily done with engine in the truck. Basically high priority preventive maintenance any truck this age should get.
Other end of the truck, Hutch and Harpoon mods, same reason.
Thank you all for chiming in with helpful input. I just got the engine in the the truck and running a few days ago, so happy to have it back up again! And for the first time since I've owned it, it looks like it might be drip free
Thank you all again!

Hey Steve! Glad to hear you got your truck back up and running!
