77 F-100 2wd. I pulled my dust shields while doing a full brake job today and noticed the seal where the spindle meets the knuckle is was in bad shape on the drivers side and broken on the passenger. Can't seem to find the part online so I'm really hoping it's not a full assembly. Can anyone verify my fear or point me in the right direction of the part?
Never seen a seal where a spindle meets a steering knuckle. What you likely are seeing is grease that has accumulated on the area after escaping from the wheel bearing seal that is pressed into the hub behind the larger back side wheel bearing. I always just called them "front wheel bearing seal"s. There is no reason to seal those dust seals.

oh man I feel dumb. That’s exactly what it was. I was scared to messed with it in such bad shape I didn’t realize what it actually was, just grease.
