Usually comes out without damage if you put the hub on the spindle, with only the inside bearing and seal in, put the spindle nut on and give the hub a decent jerk like your taking it off. The spindle nut catches the bearing and then the bearing kinda uniformally try's to keep the seal where it is, thus pulling bearing and seal with minimal to no damage to either.
I reread this and it's not as easy to understand as I'd hoped but hopefully you can understand what I'm describing.
Thanks! I think I got it, basically using the nut as a striker from the back side to get it out. I may try that this week if I have time. Otherwise I will do it in the spring.
