Working on an engine swap in my '89 Bronco with a 92+ front clip and got a little too cut happy and cut the entire engine side wiring harness up and removed the eec entirely. I am left with only a short section of wires off of the the round main connector that bolts through the firewall. Since I swapped to a 92+ front end can I use any harness off of a 92+ and cut off what I dont need?
Why would you do that? The wiring harness has absolutely nothing to do with changing the sheet metal. Since you would not be using any of the wiring from the ‘92, my advice is to solder all the wiring back the way it was.

The harness is long gone as It had a bunch of issues and I planned on rebuilding a new one with a fuse box to relay the head lights, a/c, wire for starter solenoid, and some auxiliary lights. I just need headlights, turn signals, marker lights, and whatever wire powers the interior. I figured a new harness would match the 92+ layout and routing.
Seems like at this point I need to find a better wiring diagram and build a fuse box from there.
