Looking for help to figure out why i get the Check Brakes warning.
Its a 2013 F250 XLT 6.2 Gas.
FordScan tells me that the brake fluid is low, which is certainly not the case, i did replace the brake fluid sensor in the reservoir it did not change anything.
It is a 3 pin connector and i checked the ground wire and that is good, between the other two wires i measure a little bit over 3 volt when the truck is running,
I jumped wired these two wires which had no effect on the brake light/Check brake message.
So i assume i have a wiring issue somewhere but how can i find out where, where doe the wires go from the brake fluid sensor? i would think they go somewhere in the BCM and from there to the Instrument cluster, so there must be multiple connections in between where i should be able to check if the wire has issues in between?
I had it in the shop and they couldnt figure anything out, they tell me i have to put in a new fuse box and complete engine harness, not gonna happen. The "Service Advancetrac" light is also on, but there are no codes from FordScan on this, not sure what that is about!?
Both wires for the low brake fluid sensor go to the BCM only, from there the BCM sends out a message on the network for the cluster and abs module. I have seen several times where water has gotten into the wire and BCM on trucks causing issues. I would pull all the connectors on the BCM and look for green/white corrosion.
