starter issues
So after about 100k miles starter is failing. I have determined that starter mounted solenoid is bad. Guestion is who makes the OEM replacement parts? I believe it is a Mitsubishi . Has three bolt pattern

I don't know but I have a starter that has a Mitsubishi sticker on it. It might be an aftermarket starter though. Anyway, here's a bump for you. And if you have a rebuilder in your area, they should be able to steer you in the right direction.

Which starter do you have? It should be either a Mitsubishi direct drive w/ 3 bolt mounting flange or a Denso gear reduction w/ 2 bolt flange. If it's the Mitsubishi then I would recommend upgrading to a Denso type gear reduction unit. Then repair the old one and keep it for a spare.

Fixed! Found a local rebuilder in my area {Air-Auto=Marine-Electric) in El Cajon, Ca.. Scott was able to rebuild my Mitsubishi starter for $165! Looks and starts like new!
BTW the Mitsubishi Is a reduction unit! It has planetary gears in side.
