Slick Styleside Mutt
I suppose it is time to introduce myself now that I have been browsing this site for a while. I have had my Mutt since the late '70's/early 80's. and it has been parked since '85. The guy I bought it from had pieced it together from a variety of trucks. According to the title (& warranty plate), it is a '66 F250 4wd Styleside however, I know it has the '65 grill, I believe the cab is a f100 (with the F250 doors) and a 2wd 8' bed. I seem to remember the guy also said it had the 1 ton chassis and if old age hasn't completely snuck up on me and kicked my butt, I confirmed that way back when I put brakes on it as the catalog showed different than what I had.
Anyway, I had always told myself that getting this back on the road was going to be my retirement project and so here I am, fighting it's age and my own. I know this will never be a show piece, nor do I want it to be, I just want to get it back on the road. I already have gotten it running again and am about to start on the brakes (dual chamber master & all brake components, mechanical & hydraulic) but I am wanting to find which set of manuals I should have for reference when I start on everything else. I know I will want a parts manual & service manual but does Ford have a body builders manual as well? Book, CD or USB doesn't matter, I just want to have legible info. (I already know about the wiring diagrams on the Fordification site)
Which direction would you point me to for good quality source for these manuals?
I appreciate your advice

The shop manual will cover most of the things you will need to know. They are available on e-bay as originals, reprints and cd's. The wiring and body/interior assembly manuals are reprinted and can usually be found on the re-pop parts sellers' websites. The body/interior assembly manual is a Jim Osborn re-print from the original Ford engineering drawings and shows how all the little bits and pieces go together with the original Ford part numbers.
Here are a few of the re-pop places but don't overlook your local parts store for ordinary wear parts.

Okay, here it is back around '82 when it was my daily driver
ad here it is as it sits today....
As you can see, I have some work to do but not too bad considering the last time it was on the road was in '85. I will get some more pictures but first, I gotta get it closer to the barn. This walking 40yds between the truck & the barn every time I need another tool is wearing my legs down to nubbins
