I hard wired my Valentine one into the visor light. As said before, the hook up is a standard telephone plug in and you use two of the wires, Don't worry about crossing the wires (neg and Pos) on hook up. The Valentine will not burn up. If you get no power the first time, just reverse/change wires around. Detects everything out there. had mine for several years and software upgrades are free/cheap (depending on model year of your unit).

Has anyone tried the Radar Jammers sold by Rockey Mountain? They have one with the detecter built in. Does it work?
This is a fraud, go to radartest.com and there is a lot of info and tests from all makes of radar detectors. Real interesting info on a lot of them.
