Hardware radar detector

In my 2009 F150 I had a detector hard wired using fuse #37 by the passenger footwell fuse panel. Only was hot when ignition on. Trying to do the same in my new 2015 and can't find a fuse that is only hot when ignition is on. I've tried a few "unused" ones but they are all live all the time. Anybody know if there is a fuse that will work for my needs ? Thanks.

You can always use a Z-mount and mount it to and power it from the rear view mirror. I have them in several cars and can instantly move my V1 from car to car. Clean, secure and no ugly wires.

redford, I think you messed up. OP said this is something he's done in his '09, but is now trying to do it to his '15. The lot of us won't be much help here.

What he said.
However you could check the manual and it should tell you what fuse does what. You could use the radio circuit it has a timer (delay) of 15 min I think, after that power should be off.

I use a wireless Escort Solo 2 radar detector for the same reason. I hate wires hanging all over the place.
