I just put a new bed on my 83 F250 and I threw in some new tail light bulbs. I was testing them and I put the turn signal on and it was flashing both lights like the hazards were on. I have no clue how to approach this at all. Any know-how?
I had tail-light gremlins...and knew NOTHING about this type of stuff.
I read a little bit and then ran a new ground cable from my flareside taillights to a fresh cleanly sanded spot on the frame and they instantly got significantly brighter and functioned properly. Like magic.

A little late but a flare side bed is a different best than a style side when it comes to bed tail light grounds.
The flare side has a wood floor that is bolted to the frame that the bedsides are bolted to and the tail light bolt to the bed sides.
I had to make a harness for my flare side from a style side and when testing on the ground I could not get them to work
I stood back and it hit me no ground. Once that was hooked up with a jumper it all worked.
Good grounds are a must have for starting, running and lights working.
